Antique French piggy bank for a school

A charming donation collection box from a French public school dating from tehe 1930's. Made from zinc, painted with the colours of the French flag and labled - Sou de la ecole which ironically is not grammatically correct French but nonetheless translates to 'money for the school'. Money raised was put towards school excursions for the pupils.
Coins were put in the beak at the top and emptied from the bottom - it was originally wall mounted.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
