Pair of French Tabac carrot Bakelite door pulls - 1940's

This ultra-rare pair of Bakelite door pull handles date from the 1940's. They are in the shape of the Tabac carrot - an emblem required to be displayed on all tobacco stores in France. They are decorated with a variety of brands of cigarettes including Gitanes, Gauloises, Celtic etc. They are not designed to be used back to back but on double doors that are pulled open together.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
Each measures approx. 15¾" high x 3½" diameter. Length of thread is about 4¾"
Each measures approx. 40cm high x 9cm diameter. Length of thread is about 12cm
