This French biot jar dates to the 19th century. Originally used for storing olives and olive oil. This weighty jar has a creamy yellow glazed rim and is beautifully weathered. As the rim has a more pronounced waist this jar can be identified as 19th century. There is a red stencil on the side. In restored condition.

This iconic French olive jar is suitable for gardens and indoors, to hold pot plants or simply laissez-fair. No hole in base.
