Émile Tessier created out of the ordinary earthenware from 1928-1971. He was the most emblematic ceramist of Malicorne in central France.

This superb pitcher is highly decorative and has the signature ET underneath. c. 1960 The fleur de lys is the symbol of French royalty. The twisted handle is a signature feature of Tessier's work.
