A spectactular pair of eighteenth-century French gilt wood reliquaries from a chateau chapel. The history of the reliquaries is handwritten on the back: they were recovered from the demolished chapel of the Chateau de Corne. The bases are nineteenth century.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use. Each measures approx. 20" high x 9½" x 3¼" Each measures approx. 51cm high x 24cm x 8cm
