An early twentieth-century seascape by French artist Vincent Manago (1880–1936).

Manago was born in Toulon and died in Paris. He was a student of Jean-Paul Laurens (1838-1921) at l'academie Julian. His career started in Marseille and he traveled in Algeria and Tunisia where he did many orientaliste style works. In 1931 he participated in the Exposition coloniale where he showed landscapes of North Africa and Provence. His works were been exhibited in the Museum Baron Martin in Gray (Haute-Saone), the Cantini Museum, Marseille.

The works of Jean-Paul Laurens are on display at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Virginia.
