Club chairs are available and made-to-order from Chez Pluie in two styles: the round back chair (pictured here) and the Taittinger style.
The round back chair is a superb bespoke French leather club chair. The design is based on a classic club chair from the mid-twentieth century. The round shape makes it beautifully comfortable and promotes a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The outstanding quality of the leather and classic vintage style makes it versatile for all kinds of interiors, and suits especially well studies, libraries, living rooms, and bedrooms.
All Chez Pluie's club chairs are upholstered in sheepskin, a beautiful and exceptional quality leather from Basane, a Provençal village famous for its French club chairs. At the Basane tannery, still today skins are tanned with the same vegetable composition that has been used for centuries. A large amount of time goes into crafting each piece so expect an order to take between three to four weeks to be produced. The armchairs are available as individual pieces (such as here), as a pair, or larger quantities also are possible.
As the sheep's leather is unique and the patina is manually applied, minor variations to the finish may occur. Photos are indicative of the patina and to be used as a guide, and there is a video of a sample piece of leather.
