The central scene depicts three swans gliding across blue-green water bordered by tall reeds, all freely hand-painted with lightly raised and incised details that give the surface texture and depth. A generous floral border in cream, blue-green and olive surrounds the scene, standing out against the warm terracotta ground and giving the composition a rich, cheerful character.
