A single glazed door, divided into four panes by slender wooden muntins, opens to reveal an interior shelf that neatly divides the space into upper and lower compartments. A small white ceramic knob and a stepped cornice and base give the piece its characteristic French simplicity and quiet architectural presence.\n\nPatricia recalls that after its years at Chanteduc, the vitrine moved with them to their apartment on Rue Jacob in Paris, where it lived in the kitchen for decades — and even spent a stretch on loan to a friend before finding its way back.
