These cheese labels are featured on p.243 of The Provence Cookbook and p.197 of The French Kitchen Cookbook, by Patricia Wells. \n\nThe tin-glazed earthenware (faience) has a gentle sheen and touchable smoothness, the lettering clean and legible, each plaque charmingly individual.
