This petite ceramic pitcher from the Savoy region dates to the early 20th century. Its simple cylindrical body, fitted with a stout applied handle**,** is finished in a soft butter yellow glaze and enlivened by a handpainted geometric pattern of green roundels linked by russet lines and small black dot clusters, a motif characteristic of Savoyard workshops. A hand pinched spout, slightly off kilter, underscores its folk art spirit. The surface shows timeworn character with glaze losses, rim nicks, and scattered wear consistent with age and use, yet it remains sturdy and full of charm.
Display it on open kitchen shelving or a breakfast dresser, or place it on a guestroom nightstand to hold a small bouquet of dried flowers, introducing a gentle, folksy note of color and texture.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
