These two rustic name plates are from horse stables and date from the nineteenth-century. The frames are cast iron (in the shape of girth straps) and the name plates are metal. One horse was called Bayard, the other Favori. These will add a lovely French country feel to any home, and they can also be displayed outdoors. A rare find, sourced from Montpellier. The metal name plate is a separate piece from the frame and can be slotted behind once wall mounted.

Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
