Dating from the seventeenth-century, this large-scale reclining chair was for used when unwell. There are two toothed rails on either side to lower the backrest. In original unrestored condition with fatigued tapestry, leather on the armrests and timeworn timber. A rare find.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
