Dating from the nineteenth century, this adorable little pitcher would have originally been used for serving water or wine. It has pale yellow glaze and a brown handle - the signature colors from Dieulefit - a village in the south of France renowned for pottery. A lovely piece to add to a collection of antique French pottery.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
