Vintage Rooster shaped vase - Émile Tessier

This charming rooster-shaped ceramic vase dates from the 1950s. Can be used to hold incense or used as a flower vase. Émile Tessier (1887-1971) was a well-known ceramist from Malicorne, Sarthe, in the North of France. He lived through two world wars and the German occupation. He was raised surrounded by potters and ceramicists and eventually established his own atelier.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
