This fabulous large earthenware pitcher dates from the late-nineteenth century from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. It is labelled 'Vinaigre d'alcool 6 degrés'. A very fun piece to add French flair to the kitchen. Patricia uses this antique vinegar pitcher decoratively to hold dried lavender or flowers. Note the vinegar has changed the patina on the inside.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
