19th century Provencal fruit confit bowl

This rustic brown-glazed terracotta bowl was originally used to make fruit confit (French preserved fruit). The colour and design is typically Provençal and dates to the late 19th century. It has been beautifully repaired (most likely in the early 1900’s) with two iron pieces.
