A nineteenth-century shop counter. It has an open shelf and several drawers that were originally used for storing notes or coins. The drawers slide smoothly. The top drawer has four little levers that were to be depressed in the right order to unlock the drawer - this doesn't function any more but the drawer opens and closes smoothly.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
