A box set of six beautiful silver handles for holding and serving lamb chops dating from the nineteenth-century from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. An elegant way to stop your hands from getting greasy when enjoying lamb chops. To use, position the bone inside the tongs and twist the clover-shaped key screw to secure the handle piece to the bone. Patricia encourages the host or hostess to prepare each one and serve on a gorgeous platter for guests to simply enjoy!
A classic 'single-use item' as Patricia would say! Like her asparagus tongs and other specific French kitchen tools, these silver handles are a way to honor the food being served with a touch of reverent formality and French elegance. Patricia feels these items have so much to do with the appreciation and respect for ingredients in the French way of life and cooking. They contribute to the beauty and the communion of the table.
The blue leather box opens to reveal lovely details like pretty floral gilding around the top border. The set nestles into blue velvet molds and the top part of the box's interior is covered in a cream silk with the maker, Rollet pere - Paris, inscribed in cursive in the top left corner.
