Antique Sarreguemines molded off-white ceramic pitcher w/ nature-inspired elements 8¾"

SKU: 17907

A fine beige Art Nouveau embossed earthenware water pitcher with single handle by Sarreguemines dating from the end of the nineteenth to early-twentieth century. The Art Nouveau nature-inspired designs decorating the outside include graceful birds, butterflies, and scrolling flowers and leaves.

Note the little escargot near the bottom. So French! With a watertight container placed inside first, this would make a lovely flower vase or classic piece of decoration among other similar colored pieces on a shelf. Note the stamps present underneath. The number 62 represents the style number.

Light wear.
