This petite Sicilian terracotta mold dates to the early 20th century and bears a warm straw-yellow glaze that pools within a low-relief floral motif. Hand-formed with a softly irregular shape, it was traditionally used to press fruit pastes, leaving delicate flower impressions that echo the island’s confectionery heritage. The surface is timeworn and rustic, carrying the gentle character of a handmade utilitarian object. Each example is a unique piece.
Display it on open shelving in a kitchen gathered with other molds, or repurpose it as a small catchall for sea salt, jewelry, or keys. Its mellow color and artisanal modeling lend an intimate, storied note to a counter, console, or dining vignette, bringing a touch of Mediterranean warmth to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
