This early 20th-century wall plate was made in the Drôme region of southeastern France, an area known for its rural ceramic traditions. Crafted in terracotta, it is finished in a soft yellow glaze and decorated with a hand-painted daisy motif in iron red, green, and deep brown.
The form is simple, with a shallow profile and gently raised rim. Small glaze pops, pinholes, and light edge wear are visible, consistent with its age and hand-crafted origin. Likely intended as a decorative plate, it would have been hung in a farmhouse kitchen.
A quiet, authentic example of vernacular pottery from the Drôme, combining regional charm with restrained floral decoration.
