A petite French tabletop vanity mirror in chrome-plated metal, dating to the late 1930s–40s, featuring a circular double-sided glass set within a tilting twin-ring frame that shifts between standard and magnifying views. It stands on a turned column and stepped circular base typical of the period, the bright silver finish showing gentle age to the plating. Reflecting the streamlined geometry of the Art Deco and early Modern era, such adjustable mirrors were common on dressing tables and in barber salons; this example remains functional despite light wear, speckled foxing on the magnifying side, and one small side bolt missing.
Perfect on a bathroom vanity or dressing table, it brings a quiet period note beside marble, porcelain, or dark-stained wood. Use it in a powder room to echo polished nickel fixtures, or place it on a console to lend a sculptural glint to a vignette of glass and perfumes. Its compact scale makes it an easy accent for guest rooms or bathrooms.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
