This tall French trumeau mirror dates to the Louis XV period and is crafted in carved and painted wood with gilded accents. The lower register retains its original mercury mirror plate, framed by matching gilt surrounds with a central cartouche. The green surface shows later retouching with broad, expressive brushstrokes that impart a rustic texture. The gilding is softly rubbed, the painting displays stable craquelure with minor abrasions, and the mirror plate shows the expected foxing and clouding.
