Dating from the start of the twentieth century, a large terracotta pitcher with a pretty mottled green glaze from the Var region of France. Its curvaceous, sculpted beak offers a unique artisanal touch differentiating it from other pitchers at the time. It features a bulbous lower half leading up to its tapered neck and large single handle on the side. One side features a touch of sunny yellow glaze overtop the green. This piece would be the perfect addition to an existing collection of pottery or to add a special French touch to your home. If using for flowers, be sure to place a container inside the pot first. Note the number "7" is stamped beneath twice. Note minor chipping to glaze around rim and on one side of pitcher.
