A finely hand-hammered copper coffee pot from the late 19th to early 20th century, with a domed hinged lid, short spout, and tall riveted strap handle displaying textured decorative work along its length. The body, shaped with a graceful conical profile and a broad flared base, bears the marks of hand-raising and a warm reddish tone, enriched by subtle variations in surface color. It bears small dents and surface marks from use, along with an old restoration around the base showing visible brazing and minor irregularities at the spout and rim. Though its exact origin is uncertain, this coffee pot’s elegant silhouette and refined craftsmanship suggest a Southern Europe or Mediterranean influence.
Today, this sculptural copper ewer serves as a beautiful decorative piece, its glowing surface and traces of skilled repair giving it both warmth and historic charm. It adds character to a kitchen or hearth when displayed among other copperware and, with a glass liner, makes a striking vessel for branches or dried flowers, bringing a timeless rustic elegance to any setting.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
