This extraordinary counter dates from the late-nineteenth century and was originally used for displaying and storing grain in a shop. It is from the kitchen of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence, where students would learn classic French recipes under the tutelage of renowned food writer Patricia Wells. It has been conveniently modified to include electrical outlets on the back for plugging in appliances. The Wells also added the Carrara marble top. The enamel hooks on the end are included.
A superbly storied piece to use as a kitchen island.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
This has been re-electrified for European power. Must be rewired and installed in accordance with local electrical requirements.
