This tasteful petit French cruche dates from the 1950s/1960s and features dynamic splashes of brown and green glaze decorate the pot's pale yellow exterior. It features two lovely twisted handles and a spout. In earlier times, glazed terracotta waterers like these were used for fetching water from the village fountain for domestic use.
Today, this would make a delightful addition to a collection of pottery to add a touch of Provence to your home. Stamped Vallauris. Celebrated for its pottery, Vallauris is a seaside commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. It is located in the metropolitan area of Antibes, bordering it on its west side.
