Dating from the nineteenth century, France, a charming pair of drageoir cut crystal glass footed cups with flared lids and faceted top handles. Often serving as christening gifts in the 1800s filled with sugar-coated almonds or dragées, these would make a delightful and special gift or beautiful compotier for cranberry sauce at a special meal like Thanksgiving. Unsigned but in the style of celebrated Parisian jeweler and glass designer René Lalique (1860-1945).

More about Lalique: Born in 1860 in Aÿ-Champagne, René Lalique was to become one of the greatest names of his time, renowned both as a jeweler and a master glassmaker. His unique and instantly recognizable style was a major influence on the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. Source: Musée Lalique
