A pair of early 20th-century Italian storage jars in white tin-glazed earthenware, each with a globular body, short neck, and shallow socle base, topped by a domed lid with stylized acorn shaped finial. The warm ivory glaze is accented by a discreet hand-painted monogram in dark blue-gray to the front, repeated beneath the base. Following the maiolica tradition in a pared-back, utilitarian form reminiscent of classical pharmacy jars, they combine practicality with quiet refinement. Minor firing specks and light glaze loss along the rim.
With their clean profile and soft ivory glaze, the jars make elegant anchors on a kitchen counter, scullery shelf, or dining room sideboard, adding quiet symmetry and functional charm. They take on a sculptural presence on a console or mantel, especially against dark paint or wood, and style beautifully flanking a mirror, grouped with silver or pewter, or in a bathroom to hold small essentials while maintaining a calm, tailored look. Two pairs available.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
