This elegant pair of Louis XVI–style armchairs, dating from the late 19h to early 20th century, embodies the quiet refinement of the French neoclassical tradition. Their hand-carved beechwood frames are painted in a soft, chalky cream, with fluted tapering legs, scrolling arms, and rosette blocks accenting the corners of the seat rails. The seats, backs, and arm pads are upholstered in luxurious tapestry, woven floral bouquets in warm tones of salmon pink, ivory, and green, outlined with brass nail-head trim that underscores the precision of their craftsmanship and lends a polished finish. Both remain in good condition, with a timeworn painted surface, small scuffs along the edges, and light age wear to the upholstery, all contributing to a mellow and appealing patina. The frames are strong with generous seats and supportive backs. Whether flanking a fireplace, placed beside a petite side table in a sitting room, or set in a bedroom corner, they bring warmth, harmony, and a timeless neoclassical grace to any refined interior.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
