Dating from the late nineteenth / early twentieth century, this superb, timeworn cutting board has been used so much for chopping (perhaps garlic and herbs) that there is a well in the middle. The board has been discreetly repaired with glue and is therefore suitable for decorative use rather than cooking.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
