This classic rectangular French mirror from the seventeenth century, Louis XIII era, is made from walnut and evocative of the Dutch style. A versatile piece, this mirror could be hung both in portrait or landscape positions adding a piece of French history to both traditional and contemporary interiors. Note the lovely triple-carved lines around the edge of the frame and a simple carved detail surrounding the inner part of the frame. Please note foxing and losses to original glass in photos.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
