A superb olive jar from the eighteenth century due to its straighter form (nineteenth-century jars are more bulbous). Note the drainage hole at the bottom. The perfect addition to an existing collection of pottery and adds a touch of French country to outside and inside spaces. Lovely traces of yellow glaze inside and around the outside rim. Probably from Biot.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
