This exceptional arbalette-shaped fireplace surround dates from the early 18th century. Crafted from walnut wood, the piece showcases the intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail characteristic of the Louis XIV - Régence style. The fireplace surround is finished with a faux marble painting, specifically in the style of Brèche d'Alep, giving it a luxurious and authentic marble appearance.
Originating from a large bourgeois house in La Veyron, this piece is in very good condition, though it will be repaired before sending to ensure the top piece is securely in place (a minor repair). There are three other similar chimney surrounds are available upon inquiry, making it possible to create a cohesive and historically rich interior design.
