A charming late 18th-century French ecclesiastical ornament in wrought iron, formed as a stylized floral spray with three hand-forged blossoms. Traces of original ivory paint remain across the surface, now heavily oxidized in an atmospheric patina. Mounted on a later ebonized wooden base for display. Timeworn condition with oxidation, surface wear, and minor bends consistent with age.
Originally created as part of a church furnishing such as an altar decoration, processional element, or ornamental ironwork, this piece now functions beautifully as a standalone sculptural object, inviting contemplation while celebrating the beauty of age and imperfection.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
