18th-century French tole miner's lamp - small

SKU: 16701

US$292
This charming French lantern made of tole and glass was originally used by miners in the 1700s. The top hat of the lantern has a decorative pierced pattern in the metal which also serves a functional purpose to expose light. It has four glass boxed windows, one of which opens like a door with a latch to place a candle inside. Today, it would be a lovely way to add rustic French charm to an outdoor table setting.

Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
