A grand eighteenth-century French trumeau boiserie mirror featuring a lovely natural pine finish and raised panelling. Likely from a large home in France, this piece will make an impressive statement and bring instant French country charm in an entry or resting on a fireplace mantle in a room with tall ceilings. Despite some foxing to the glass, its original mercury mirror is in great condition overall and one can easily see one's reflection.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.

This mirror contains its original mercury glass which sparkles beautifully in the light. The technique of making mercury glass mirrors was retired in the early 1900s. The mercury is fixed behind the glass in a solidified, non harmful state.
