Dating from the eighteenth century, France, an impressive solid walnut Louis XV period three-drawer commode. The chest features a "double arbalète" double crossbow (curved, bow-front) body characterized by three drawers and resting on four cabriole, escargot feet. The commode features its original bronze hardware where lion-shaped figures hold up the sides of the drop handle drawer pulls.  

The keyhole escutcheons feature armory-style decorations. The commode's sides are paneled and a central piece on the front apron features carved medallions. A terrific piece rich in French charm and history ready to make a statement in your home. No keys.
