18th-century Louis XV-style Italian console table

This superb Italian poplar wood console features curved sides and carved high-sitting cabriole legs. The commode is Venetian made in the Louis XV style dating from the eighteenth century. The piece is not lacquered though possesses a sheen from the natural wood and wax.

The intricately carved Louis XV-style motifs on the apron's crest feature Rocaille ornamentation centralized around a grand contoured shell covered with acanthus leaves. This console will make a stunning statement in front of a window or in an entry foyer with a lovely antique mirror placed above.
