1930s French Art Deco Floor Lamp in the Style of Marius Ernest Sabino - 63"

This elegant French Art Deco three-light floor lamp, dating from the 1930s or 1940s, has a vertical and airy profile defined by a tall shaft of three faceted crystal sections set between warm brass mounts. It rises from an open tripod base formed from looping metal supports with a softly aged ivory-painted finish. At the top, three candle-style lights emerge from curling metal arms that move in a fluid, almost calligraphic rhythm. Small cut-glass details and tapered brass candle cups add sparkle and further decorative interest. The contrast between the precise crystal shaft and the freer scrolling metalwork gives the lamp a particularly refined Art Deco character.

The piece is very much in the style of Marius-Ernest Sabino (1878–1961) for the Cristallerie de Sèvres, though it bears no visible signature or label. Trained as a sculptor, Sabino placed particular importance on relief, texture and the way modeled glass interacts with light, qualities beautifully echoed here.

It has been carefully restored and rewired in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting working closely with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal atelier specializing in fine historic lighting. Particular attention has been given to preserving the original materials while ensuring high-quality, safe electrification. The three lights are fitted with high-quality faux candle sleeves and dimmable flame-effect bulbs.

Its airy verticality and elegant interplay of metal and crystal bring height, a subtle sparkle and a refined decorative presence without adding visual weight. A particularly chic piece, it introduces a distinctive touch of French Art Deco to an interior.
