Dating from the 1939, a terrific pre-war horse-riding show medal. Note the pretty, solid green patina to the round cast iron with molded type. This prize was given to the 8th place winner for the gentlemen's equestrian obstacle course at the annual fair in Bourges, France. This competition included an obstacle course for riders to compete with their show jumper horses.

The medal features a loop at the top for ribbon to be strung through and worn by the prize horse or the rider. A lovely piece of decor for any French or equestrian history fans. Display as a grouping by shopping similar from our collection. Inquire for availability.
