This vintage Michelin air compressor from the 1940s is made of cast aluminum and steel, featuring the iconic Michelin Man figure. Some parts have been replaced, and the compressor has not been tested or calibrated, making it suitable for decorative purposes only. Founded in 1889 by Édouard and André Michelin, the company became renowned for its innovations in tire production and iconic mascot, the Michelin Man (Bibendum). Michelin also played a significant role in automotive history, including air-related technologies like compressors.
