This petite three-drawer rattan commode, French, likely 1970s, is clad in closely laid reeded cane in a pale honey tone with softly rounded waterfall corners. The front is accented with an applied bamboo motif that offers quiet relief against the linear ground. The carcass is constructed in wood with a plywood back panel, a practical feature typical of mid-century atelier production that keeps the piece light and easy to move.
