This exceptionally rare wash basin dates from the early-nineteenth century (quite possibly earlier). We believe that it is from Biot due to the color of the clay, glaze and form. This basin would have been used for washing up in the kitchen and perhaps even in the bathroom. A very rare piece of museum quality.
