19th century Biot olive jar 23¾"

SKU: 18118

US$1,286

This 19th-century terracotta olive jar is likely from the Mediterranean town Biot. Traditionally it was used to store olives and olive oil. Its robust, round silhouette makes it a striking piece for both garden and indoor settings.

The jar features a distinctive yellow glaze around the rim and inside. Given its age, the jar shows some overall wear, which adds authentic character to this culinary antique. There is no hole in the base.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
