19th century crystal newel cap - blue acorn 7"

This superb acorn shaped newel cap dates from the late nineteenth-century. It is made from blue crystal and retains the original brass fixing. A lovely piece to use either as a balustrade ball, or as a sculptural accent on a console or on open shelves.
