This exquisite large armoire dates from the eighteenth century and is from Nimes in Provence. Carved from blonde walnut. Note the pretty paper that was applied just after the armoire was made - therefore also dates from the eighteenth century. Note the openwork acanthus leaf motifs along the apron. There are five shelves. Retains original key.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
