19th Century French copper water fountain

This rare water fontaine dates from the 19th Century. It was used for serving water at the dining table. There are two lids that fit inside one another for refilling the vessel. To serve, the spout is simply rotated 90 degrees to open or close. Made from copper and brass and decorated with lion's heads.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
