Dating from the 1870s, this superb drapery table is from Burgundy. It has two little drawers and a nice deep plinth. One has a handle and the other was a cash drawer (no key). This would make a fabulous kitchen island with plenty of open shelving underneath. The timber is pine with a lovely aged wax finish. Drapery tables were used in fabric boutiques - fabric rolls were stored underneath then unfurled and cut to measure on top.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
